South Island Adventures--- sneak peak!

Happy New Year!  I'm back safe and sound from the South Island, with many stories and adventures to tell!   It'll be a little bit before I can organize all the pictures to blog appropriately, but I figured I'd share a video of the CRAZIEST thing I did on the trip!

Our longest stopover in the South Island was spending three nights and two days in Queenstown, nicknamed the "Adventure Capital of the World", with heaps of fun, exciting, fear-inducing activities in which to partake!  It is also deemed the birthplace of bungy jumping, a sport made uber-famous by AJ Hackett.   In the past I have said I'd NEVER bungy jump in my life, but since so many folks on the tour were doing it, and then the bungy promoter proclaimed a "100% safety rating", I signed myself up!   What better thing to do on New Years Eve to say "Seeya later, 2010!", right?

There are several options of bungy jumping in Queenstown--- including the classic orginal bridge jump of 43 meters, or the new and improved (and hella insane!) 134 meter (that's 439 feet) jump from a cable car suspended between the mountains!   Guess which I did??   See below.

RIDICULOUSLY scary! But absolutely amazing!  And quite crazy to say I actually did it!

More updates of the entire trip later this week.
Happy 2011!
