Raparapu Track: You WILL get your feet wet

Saw an article in the local paper highlighting the Rapurapu Track as a nice cool walk for a hot summer's day.

This track is located in the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park.  The walk leads to some gigantic Kauri trees, thought to be 600 years old.

The newspaper article warned us we would get our feet wet.

Just HOW many river crossings were there?!?

One..

Two...

 Three..

Four... (the camera almost took an accidental river dip to get this photo!)

Five...

Six...

 Seven...

 Eight!!

Eight river crossings later, we reached the super tall super old Kauri trees.  Here's Rod and I with one of them.

It definitely was a nice cool hike for a hot summer's day, just as long as you don't mind soggy boots and socks!!
